Grace Children's Therapy is an established practice, serving the Sydney Hills District for over 15 years. Based in Castle Hill (NSW).
We are continuously growing and looking for new and innovative ways to engage the kids and families that attend our practice. If you're a therapist looking for a role that offers variety with running group programs, conducting home and community or school visits, or Telehealth and centre-based appointments, this is a role worth considering.
If you are an occupational therapist and have completed your training as a feeding therapist in the SOS Approach, this could be a wonderful opportunity to utilise your training. We have been operating our feeding therapy programs for over 7 years and have an established program and established reputation for delivering the world renowned SOS Approach to Feeding. We run both group and individual sessions based on the complexity of the children. If you've been SOS trained and never had the opportunity to utilise your training and passionate about helping children with sensory feeding aversions, this could be the role you've been looking for.
The role includes both working with our general population of youth that requires occupational therapy (individual and group sessions) but also delivering the SOS program to groups and individuals on our feeding clinic day/s.
We offer our team members a friendly work environment, weekly ongoing learning and development, regular team meetings, frequent supervision using a buddy system, an Employee Assistance Program (EAP), a laptop, and access to many resources. Our administration team provides support and will assist you with managing your caseloads, calendar, and general organisation including, chasing up documentation and tracking funding for your clients so you can focus on your clients and therapy.

As a member of the team you will:
- Have opportunities for co-treating appointments with our Head of Clinical Practice & Professional Standards Manager - shoulder-to-shoulder training to help develop your clinical skills and confidence.
- Be provided with an initial shadowing period and induction
- Be given the support and tools to be the best you can be with coaching, professional development, and induction programs.
- Be supported to work within your scope of practice
- Be provided with regular one-to-one supervision sessions
- You'll receive access to a full library of professional development courses and topics that will contribute to your CEUs.
- Participate in our learning and development program which includes independent learning and shared team learning experiences.
- Receive mentoring and coaching and formal training opportunities to expand on your repertoire of frameworks, approaches, and tools.
- Receive report writing coaching and feedback.
- Be supported by a team of occupational therapists with years of experience to share.
- Full administration support including assistance with managing your diary & appointments.
- Access to a variety of cloud-based therapy resources and apps to assist with communication & case management software.

Essential Criteria:
- Minimum bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy - Qualified Occupational Therapy role.
- SOS approach feeding for therapists interested in joining our feeding team.
- NDIS worker screener (Service NSW) or willingness to obtain one
- Working with Children Check (Service NSW) or willingness to obtain one.
- National Police Check (Criminal History Check)
- AHPRA Registered or eligible for registration prior to commencement.
- Applicants with Limited AHPRA Registration or Stage 1 Desktop Audit from OT Council will be considered.
- Candidates requiring 482 visa sponsorship will be considered where a Stage 1 Desktop Audit from OT Council has been completed. Please submit a copy of your Desktop Audit Stage 1 with your resume.
- Be eligible to apply for a Medicare and Private Health provider number or willing to apply.
- Current member of OT Australia or willing to join
- Current NSW Drivers Licence & have a reliable vehicle.
- Excellent interpersonal skills; be able to relate to children and be playful.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Have a good work ethic & take pride in your work
- Enjoys working with children
- Remuneration is based on occupational therapy experience. Grace Children's Therapy offers competitive salaries and offers an above-award wage pay scale. Salary is commensurate with years of experience and working actively as an occupational therapist.
